Marie Claire StartHers Awards honours women entrepreneurs in Netherlands
Café- Restaurant de Tropen in Amsterdam was entirely full with women and influencers on Wednesdaynight May 16, for the presentation of the Marie Claire Starters Award. Three socially moved start-ups competed for the young entrepreneurs’ prize. Buro Onderscheiden had the honour to win and take home the prize of the 13th Starters Awards, with their idea to help separated (divorced) families in a new manner.
Marie Claire stimulates female entrepreneurship by hosting the Starters Awards each year. Editor in Chief Annelies Pijper: “To contribute in a smart & amazing way to the realization of career dreams, that is Marie Claire. I am proud that with the Starters Award we have already given many women a helping hand.”
A professional jury has selected its top-3 from all submitted business plans. Marie Claire readers have then chosen the winning concept by voting. With its business plan, the start-up wins € 2,500 starting capital, C&A shop credit of € 250, a series of Digital Marketing Strategy & Social Media lectures at Nyenrode Business University and an Acer Switch 3 laptop. This event was sponsored by C&A.
