Established by Marie Claire France in 1985, these prestigious awards are judged by a global panel of 26 beauty experts, including 12 esteemed French beauty journalists and 14 top beauty editors from Marie Claire editions worldwide, including the US, China, Australia, Germany, and more. The judges rigorously test and evaluate products launched in the past 12 months, assessing their science, formulas, packaging, and, most importantly, their efficacy. Highly respected for their independence, the judges ensure that the awards serve as a mark of legitimacy and success for winning products. Each year, the ceremony gathers key players in the beauty industry, and is eagerly awaited by brands and industry professionals alike.

Fashion Our Future: Marie Claire & Kering’s commitment to sustainability
In 2022, Marie Claire and Kering joined forces to launch Fashion Our Future, a groundbreaking initiative to propel responsible fashion into the spotlight. The event series, held in Paris and New York, centered on sustainability in fashion, emphasizing not just identifying challenges but actively seeking solutions. In Paris, the spotlight was on Kering's Materials Innovation Lab, complemented by an exhibition of sustainable accessories and garments from Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Icicle, Ronald Van Der Kemp, and more. Meanwhile, in New York, a showcase of innovative projects by FIT students highlighted cutting-edge research addressing fashion’s environmental impact. Special guests, including Kerry Washington, Aïssa Maïga, Aurora James, Suzi de Givenchy, Saad Amer, and others, all united by a shared commitment to shaping a more sustainable future for fashion.
